Medical advice over the phone

A new medical service has begun, this phone service will connect the caller with a doctor specialising in whatever field the caller needs, this is a great idea and although this is never going to replace the services of a GP, it can however help people with questions on specialist illnesses and other problems which a GP may not even be able to answer.

The caller will call a premium rate telephone number, this will cost £1.50 per min, but the guarantee is that the caller will be connected to a doctor specialises in that filed within sixty seconds, this service will be available 24 hours a day and there are no receptionists or call back features.

This may be a good service for certain people, but at £1.50 per min and probably the first minute is taken up with waiting to be transferred to the doctor, it could end up being fairly expensive.
