Stem Cells may help spine damage

Researchers at the Jefferson Medical College have found that there are stem cells in the intervertebral discs that are found in the human spine, this has given the idea that with more research and study that there may be a possibility that stem cells could be used to help repair damage to those areas.

Back pain has a huge impact on the workforce, no matter what job they do, even an office worker who sits down all day long could feel the pain of a bad back, in the states it is believed to cost around $100 billion per year. So a treatment that involved introducing new stem cells would be no less than incredible, but this could be years if not decades away.
