Cannabis can help colon cancer

There would seem to be a whole host of medical treatments related to the cannabis plant, whether this is a product of the campaign to legalise the plant for medical treatments or just simply that the plant is one of those miracle plants that has just been given a bad image, it is hard to be sure.

One thing is for sure, the responds the plant.

Senior author Dr. Raymond Dubois, provost and executive vice president of the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Centre, has been explaining that the colon’s cell have a cannabinoid receptor, if this receptor is turned off, a tumour will begin to grow.

The receptors the key to the spread of this type of cancer and if a viable treatment could be produced from cannabis that is capable of working with these receptors, then it could be another weapon that can be used against this disease.
