The wonders of green tea

In a study that appeared in the European Journal of Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation, a team of Greek researchers have said that drinking green tea on a regular basis could prevent heart disease.

In the research, Charalambos Vlachopoulos, a cardiologist at the Athens Medical School in Greece also concluded that green tea also had the potential for reducing the risk of some cancers and other conditions.

This is because the tea helps the arteries relax which in turn will improve the blood flow. The researchers mention that there are similar benefits from black tea as well, but green tea is considered better because it has a substance know as flavonoids, a lot of this is removed when black tea is processed.
