Research finds clues to Alzheimer’s

For a long the affects of Alzheimer’s disease have been known, this is due to the increase amount of publicity that charities and other organisations are doing to highlight these problems. This allows many people to spot the early signs of the illness.

But the actual causes have not been so publicly known, probably because there is still little known about it. But researchers from the Harvard Medical School have found that the brains of people who are suffering from this illness and dementia too have a large amount of a protein called beta amyloid.

This protein is sort of sticky and has been the subject of debate for some time throughout the experts in this sector. Because there are two types of this protein, so the work for the future is finding which one of these proteins is responsible for the disease and what to do about it.
