Energy drinks linked to risk taking

Researchers at the University of Buffalo are looking into the effects of these so called energy drinks on younger people and teenagers. These drinks which are high in caffeine have become very popular of the past few years.

But it is not only adults who are drinking these drinks like Red Bull etc are very popular with teenagers and younger people in fact around a third of youngsters aged between 12 and 24 are regularly having these drinks to quench their thirst.

The problem with these drinks is that in younger people they can cause nausea, abnormal heart beat and even visits to the accident and emergency because the drinks have another worrying side effect, and increase in risky and aggressive behaviour, this could mean violence, unprotected sex and just about anything else that would normally seem dangerous.
