Acupuncture gets its point across

The use of medicines is at an all time high in the UK, which is why there is an increased interest in alternative therapies such as acupuncture, these ancient medical treatments can do a lot for many conditions, once the patient has got over the fear of needles.

In Northern Ireland there has been an initiative launched could the “Get Well Scheme” this is where patients are being offered complimentary therapies, it’s a great way of getting the idea of these different types of treatment out there for the patients to see if the work or not.

The main target patient are those that are classified as the “Heart Sink” patients, these are patients who upon walking into the GP’s surgery the doctors heart sinks. These are patients who are constantly visiting to doctor for various ailments. These are the patients who can really benefit from this type of medical service.
