Living off the fat of the land

Scientists have come to aid of many people who are over weight but find it so hard to lose weight and so find themselves in a position where they want to lose weight and get fitter, but simply cannot shift the pounds needed to make any significant weight loss.

In a joint but separate effort by the Karlolinksa Institute in Stockholm, Sweden and the Imperial College London, have discovered that it is all in the persons genes the difference between these people is the number of fat cells. These are established in childhood, larger people have more of these cells.

The amount of fat cells remain the same throughout a persons life, which is probably why some people who diet and lose a lot of weight, but can after a while pile the pounds back on again shortly after. This causes the person to suffer from serious problems because they feel that they are fighting a lost cause.
