Every face tells a story

With so much interest in security these days, it seems that our faces are to become our passports as facial recognition systems are being installed at airports. But researchers at the Stephen Porter’s Forensic Psychology Lab at Dalhousie University have been studying the way that our faces can betray our emotions.

The research team believe that they are able to tell if a person is lying or not, now if this were true and could be proven to be a fail safe way of detecting a lie. Then it is possible that this sort of system could change the whole face of our society.

Imagine a society where your facial expressions are being monitored, this could be at work, in court or maybe even at the bank when someone is trying to get a loan or credit card. It is unthinkable that this could ever become a part of our daily life, or maybe it is not, could lying become a crime?
