Could caffeine be good for you?

At last good news for the lovers of coffee, instead of being the bad guy of the drinks world because of the caffeine, but it seems researchers have been taking a closer look to see if there in fact any benefits for someone drinking caffeine.

The researchers from the US based Journal of Neuroinflammation have found that caffeine can in fact have some health benefits. As it can somehow prevent the damage that cholesterol does to the body, this means that caffeine could be a weapon against dementia, by protecting the brain from cholesterol travelling in the blood stream.

This barrier acts a filter which stops dangerous chemicals getting through, but high levels of cholesterol can weaken the filters, which could make the brain vulnerable to damage. This is the clearest piece of research so far which actually proves that drinking coffee is good for you.
