Link between cannabis and Alzheimer’s

Research in the medicinal properties of cannabis has come up with what could be a serious treatment for a very debilitating disease, Alzheimer’s which suffers gradually lose memory, which can be terrible for both the sufferer and the family too.

However researchers from Spain and Israel have found that one of the compounds out of the four hundred in contains can significantly slow down the process where the memory begins to fail. Despite its reputation as being a strong hallucinogenic the parts that are used in medicines and other treatments are not.

There is a divided opinion on the use of this plant as a treatment for any illness, on the one had there are those who are willing to look into the possibilities of there being something in the claims and then there are those who simply rule it out because it contains THC a psychoactive ingredient. One thing is for sure there is a need for more research into this product and its capabilities.
